The course incorporates traditional service styles and the use of technology when taking orders to enhance your skills ready for the industry or to help you update your skills. You will also have the opportunity to extend your learning with courses such as the 'Wine and Spirit Education Trust' and 'Personal Licensee Certificate', as well as Intermediate Food Hygiene. The assessment method is a holistic approach that will take into account all the units you are doing over the term.

You will also be set work to complete in the form of work packs to help complete the units on top of the assessment plans you will be doing. All candidates will be interviewed for these courses by the subject specialist and in some cases a trade test may be required. You should have good trade experience or a relevant level 2 qualifications at Merit or Distinction and ideally a level 2 qualification in English.
